Present perfect simple

Read sentences 1-3. Which describes:


A) News or a change in a situation? - Paul has got married again.

B) A state or a habit? - He’s been a designer a long time.

C) An experience or experiences (indefinite past)? - He’s had two fashion shows in New York.

Write questions using the present perfect form of the verbs. Then answer the questions.

  1. Have you ever been to a fashion show? No, I haven’t been to a fashion show.
  2. Have you bought any clothes recently? Yes, I have bought some clothes recently.
  3. How many tests has your teacher given you this term? My teacher has given me four tests.
  4. What has happened in the world this week? This week someone has destroyed a textile factory.
  5. How often have you eaten pizza this month? I have eaten pizza twice.
  6. How long have your parents lived in their house? They have lived for 25 years.
